ISEC 2024 Participation Overview
Quad Miners will take part in ISEC 2024 (the 18th International Security Conference), held October 16–17, 2024, at Hall D and the Auditorium of COEX in Seoul. Organized under the theme "Future-proof," the conference includes approximately 20 tracks and 100 sessions, with around 150 cybersecurity vendors exhibiting across roughly 170 booths. The event will also host the ISEC 2024 Best Speaker Awards.
Quad Miners will present in two sessions at the conference:
- Keynote session — covering the evolution of security operations automation technology and the role of Network Blackbox within that evolution
- Breakout session — introducing technologies planned for future integration into Network Blackbox

Founded in 2017, Quad Miners specializes in Network Detection and Response (NDR) technology. Its product, Network Blackbox, is deployed by customers in South Korea as well as in Japan and Southeast Asia. Quad Miners has been named a Sample Vendor in Gartner's NDR-related Emerging Tech research for five consecutive years, from 2020 through 2024 — the only South Korea–based NDR vendor recognized by Gartner during that period.
About Network Blackbox
Network Blackbox captures network traffic using full packet capture and extracts original files and content from that traffic. Built on this foundation, the platform supports:
- AI-based detection of anomalous and abnormal behavior
- Threat hunting based on adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
- Response workflows backed by definitive forensic evidence
- API-based integration with third-party security tools, enabling integration into existing security operations environments
Beyond visibility, Quad Miners is evolving Network Blackbox toward AI-based security observability — an approach centered on context data, including raw transaction and session data, behavioral baseline data, and detection explainability (XAI).
QUADX v2.0 XDR
In 2024, Quad Miners released QUADX v2.0 XDR. Network Blackbox serves as a core component of the QUADX Sensor within this platform. To support customers through deployment and ongoing operations, Quad Miners also provides threat hunting services delivered by its dedicated research team, H LAB.
Government-Funded Research Program
Quad Miners serves as the lead research institution on a government-funded project under South Korea's Information Security Core Source Technology Development Program, overseen by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP). The project focuses on AI/XAI-based network anomaly detection and response, along with cyber threat prediction technology. The project scale is approximately KRW 5.6 billion.
